Missions Opportunities
One of the primary tasks of BSM is to provide an environment where students can hear and heed the call of God and join Him on mission around the world. Each year, the Tarleton BSM connects students with several different missions agencies that provide a wide variety of missions opportunities in all parts of the United States and around the world. Any student interested in serving as a missionary while in college should seek prayer support and wisdom from our BSM staff and continue to pray about where the Lord might lead them to serve. Below are some of the missions agencies that the BSM supports.
The Tarleton BSM has a long history of involvement in mission projects all over the world. In fact, Tarleton students and BSM staff have served in more than 40 countries and 35 states! Last year, students and staff were involved in missions efforts to Kenya, Serbia, Canada, Guatemala, East Asia, Los Angeles, Colorado, Alaska, the Grand Canyon, and right here in Texas.
Long Term Missions
In addition to short-term mission trips with the BSM, there are opportunities for students to serve on the mission field during the summer and even during the semester! Through the partnership of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and the Southern Baptist Convention, college students can work with a variety of missions organizations to spread the gospel around the world.
Texas BSM Missions
Go Now is the official sending organization for BSM students in Texas. Hundreds of students serve in the US and around the world in harvest fields for trips ranging from two weeks to 10 months. For more information about Go Now Missions call 1-888-288-1853 or visit www.gonowmissions.com.
Answer the Call
Answer the Call is supported by the Cooperative Program and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering® and sends students all over North America to assist with local churches and ministries. For more information call 1-800-634-2462 or visit www.answerthecall.net.
The TASK
The TASK is an entity supported by the Cooperative Program and
the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering®. The TASK has opportunities for college students and graduates to serve for up to two years in locations around the world. For more information call 1-800-999-3113 ext. 1255 or visit www.thetask.org.
